I have 4 hours in Birmingham- what do I do?

My lad has football all afternoon, so I'm in Birmingham (Trillion training ground, not St Andrews stadium), from 12-4 today.

I'll have 2 girls with me, one teen and one preview school.

What can we do to pass the time? I was thinking Sealife centre but it's going to be busy and I have ASD so struggle with crowds.

Any suggestions?

NotYourHolidayDick Yes we did get to go inside. They’ve been renovating the sails and the last time we went they were reattaching them. It was fascinating to watch.

OP, you could get the train into New street. It's an experience in itself, some nice places to eat and some lovely shops. Some mainstream and a few quirky.

It's close to the bullring/primary if you fancy it but the station is enough to fill an hour or so, more if your girls like to browse and shop.

Alternatively the Think Tank is amazing, especially on a day like today when the sun is shining. X

Are you National Trust members? Hanbury Hall and Coughton Court are nearby.

Do you like walking? The training ground isn't far from the canal which is a lovely walk, with lots of locks on the Tardebigge flight.

Thanks so much everyone.

We went to the Avoncroft museum. Teen was bored shitless but myself and the 4 year old had a good time! I got to go in the windmill and was stupidly excited 🙈

Just pulled back up to collect the boy so time wise was perfect too.

Now for the drive home 😴
