RSPCA Home visit

Puppylove24 · 12/08/2019 22:33

I am hoping to get a rescue dog from the RSPCA but there is a pile of rubble in our garden, it is tidy and apart from the rubble out garden is perfect. Will they have a problem with the rubble (only temporary)?
Also what will they look for on the home visit

ThanksSmile

I just meant going out, home to eat, then out again is a lot of faffing around.

I have a retriever and she has two walks a day and as much garden access as she wants. She used to have a poo routine but now it's more casual.

@Summerunderway

lol - I might need one! 😀

@SunshineCake unfortunately mine will not be able to have regular garden access and She needs 2 - 3 hours exercise per day

The home visit is in 1 hour - I'm a bag of nerves. 😨😰😰😰

Hope it goes well. You want to be a good owner and provide a brilliant home. That makes you a brilliant prospect!

Cherrysoup · 14/08/2019 11:31

Why won’t she have regular garden access? My back door is open if we’re home and it’s not raining, dogs have constant access.

Medievalist · 14/08/2019 12:40

How did it go op?

Puppylove24 · 14/08/2019 16:08

The home visit went fine!
I can collect her on the 30th! 😀😀😀

@Cherrysoup
It's because we have quite a few cats (some strays) and they walk in when the doors open and get in through the dog flap

Dcats will soon get the message your abode is now occupied with paws.
Well done op!!
Congratulations!

Wolfiefan · 14/08/2019 16:26

Yay. I’m sooooo pleased for you and your new member of the family. Wishing you many happy years together.

Puppylove24 · 14/08/2019 18:44

Thanks @Wolfie and @Wolfiefan xx

Unfortunately, the cats are unperturbed by dogs

What about a net screen? Our ddog's can manage it but dcats can't!!
They sit there looking horrified that we have had the nerve to lock them out!!
Cat flap at the other side but oh no full access required!

Puppylove24 · 14/08/2019 21:19

@Summerunderway LOL
The cats in my neighbourhood glare at me when I tell them too shoo and look at each other wondering "who does she think she is"😀
The net didn't work for my neighbours as the cats got in at first they followed the Doberman in but then found their own way of doing it) but I'll try
