If you walk along the river towards the south bank, near the London eye, there's a big playground. Hth.

Great thanks. Do you jo if it’s closed - as in they can’t escape ?

You’re not far from the Southbank Centre. Ds enjoyed the Appearing Rooms Fountains (he was 14 but a big kid when it comes to water), maybe take a change of clothes. The roof garden is nice and you can stroll along the river.

Sorry, I'm not sure...it's pretty big (from what I remember) and was quite busy last time I was there so I'd definitely keep my eyes on my kids at all times!

Are you meaning Jubilee Gardens? It’s an adventure playground. Might be too big for the younger child.

Walk down the Southbank, there’s a carousel (not too expensive) and a sandpit. The appearing rooms fountains are great. Buy a book at the book stall and run round the paths in the gardens by the playground (my 2.5yo still too little for the playground).

The Southbank by St Thomas regularly keeps us entertained for ages just watching the boats and street entertainers. If it’s raining there’s a large indoor space for running in the Southbank centre or head over to the main bit of the Evelina Children’s hospital where there’s toys and a Helter Skelter on the ground floor.

Alternatively if you come out the Evelina entrance there’s another park with a more toddler friendly playground opposite.

St Thomas’ itself also has gardens outside with fountains and the Mary Seacole statue we can usually wile away 40 minutes there with snacks from M and S
