How the hell do you choose a pair of glasses?

It takes me hours just to choose a pair of jeans how do you choose something to wear on your face all the time?!

I haven’t been for an eye test for 5 years and I needed reading glasses then but couldn’t choose and just forgot about it.

I have a test in an hour and I know I’m going to need some glasses (I’m doing that holding things at arms length to read them thing)

So how do you choose your glasses?!

As suspected I needed glasses!

Optician very very helpful. It’s an independent where I take the DC and she helped me pick out a pair based on face shape etc.

I’m £400 lighter though Shock. Not sure on all the extras I agreed to, hope my glasses are covered under my contents insurance!

What extras did you go for? Anti-reflective coating on lenses is always worth it, I find, and thinned lenses if you wear them all day (not so heavy on the nose!). I'd check whether your insurance covers them outside the home.

I got mine at Specsavers using the mug shot like app thingy.
My initial reaction was - erk! But then I tried them on and they looked great.
Two for one deal and I have lovely sunglasses too.

My optician let's me take a few pairs home to mull over it. I do need glasses all the time though and I usually buy fairly expensive pairs so it's a big decision. You could ask of they'd let you take some home and try them on in front of people and get their opinions. Second option is to take someone with you for their views and the third is to take a load of selfies and look at them or send them to friends for opinions. My sight is so bad I can't see what I look like without the proper lenses in them so I rely heavily in other people talking me what looks good (in case you can't tell from my suggestions lol!).
