Hello all

Please may I ask for your tips and advice for our Legoland visit tomorrow.

I’ve heard about the QBot, is this worth it? What rides are a must do?

Thank you

How old are your DC? That will affect answers!

Shmithecat2 · 07/08/2019 23:13

A second mortgage and the patience of a saint. Enjoy!

Download app and check queue times

Pack a lunch and eat it while watching the Pirates of Skeleton Bay show (get there early to get seats) is the absolute top tip.

If you’re interested in doing as many rides as possible, get a Q-bot.

Pack swimming stuff for the splash park, but if it’s hot and busy you might not get in.

Definitely yes to the app. My kids (aged 7 and 8) rate the Haunted House, Atlantis, the Coastguard boats and Pirate Falls (name?). Didn't rate the Viking river one, or Scarab Raiders. LOVED Drench Towers!

Take lunch with you....

Trickyteens · 07/08/2019 23:22

Picnic lunch. The cost to eat there when we went-a few years ago-was astronomical.

noblegiraffe · 07/08/2019 23:24

My lot love the Dragon rollercoaster and the Viking river splash (ignore the ponchos and the suggestion you could get soaked,, you won’t).

The Lego Ninjago ride is phenomenal, but the queues horrendous.

Gin

Money off vouchers. Usually found on the side of Kellogg’s cereal packets. Please don’t pay around £60 each when you can get one in free for every full price ticket.

And definitely yes to a Qbot if you can stretch to it. You need to download the app when you get there, go and buy your Qbot from one of the kiosks and then you can book your rides and see how long the queues are in minutes. It will also count you down to when it’s your turn for the ride.

Take a packed lunch. All we bought last time was two donuts and two small bottles of water and it came to roughly £10. Hmm

Have a lovely time!

If you plan on using the lockers to store your stuff then take some £2 coins. They don't accept £1 coins anymore

ineedaholidaynow · 07/08/2019 23:56

DS loved driving the cars

Thank you all :)

The children are 9 and 6

Endless patience and lots of money.

Yes - buy the Qbots to save your sanity.

Food on site isn't great understatement and expensive (even by theme park standards).

Take some snacks at least if you're able, better still a packed lunch, best place to eat it IME was at the model village rather than the designated picnic areas (that were horrendously busy and wasp infested).

Try not to eat at standard times - even with Qbot you can spend time waiting, so better use "lunchtime" for rides.

Silvercatowner · 08/08/2019 06:34

Insect repellant. It's very waspy.

sugarbum · 08/08/2019 06:42

Rain ponchos. For the wet rides.

fiydwi · 08/08/2019 08:13

Definitely take a packed lunch, the food prices are awful.

We’ve been twice and both times we’ve been unlucky with the weather and it’s not the best in the rain as not many undercover places to eat a picnic. We didn’t do qbot but we went at quieter times of year.
But ponchos, might be cheaper buying them in home bargains.
