Old photos

Looking through old photos I soo wish I took more of my children growing up. I miss there little smiles, feet hands etc. I have less photos of my third child then I do the first two. And I was always the one who took the photos there's very few of me with my children. On average I'm in about 20 a year if that, my husbands in way less. Am I the only one who takes loads of photos but never in them. In my baby's first year I counted I'm only in 23 I don't feel sad as I love the photos I have. I just want my children to look back and see I was there and how much I love them.

I sometimes feel guilty about lack of photos I have taken and then I remember the 'one film for the whole holiday' and I actually treasure them more than lots and lots saved in Google photos.

Photos were much more considered with just a couple taken. Now life is viewed via a phone camera lens and probably missing out on being 'in the moment'

I think I’m in about two a year! I was the photographer. My daughter was camera shy so some gaps with her, whereas my son fancies himself as a model.
Back in the day (60s) there’s definitely less of my younger sister (of three) and my older sister told her it was because she was adopted! I think she still has her doubts (and she’s over 50 now).

Although younger folk take millions of photos (including so many selfies, so they will be in them), they are far less likely to print them off than us though, so I think there will come a time 20 years down the line, when technology has changed, that they will have missed out on having that shoebox full of memories though, which is sad.
