I'm sure I've heard negative things on here about pets4homes and I was wondering if it was directed at all the animals or just the young kittens/puppies that are potentially farmed?

When I come out of mourning for my recently deceased Dcat I'll be looking for a young adult cat to adopt. On pets4homes they have several that are being re-homed due to house moves etc and they are free and there are others charging £350 to re-home the cat. Why? Are the ones that charge dodgy?

Just wondering what you do if you're looking for a dog but have young children? I've looked at various rescue sites and none of the dogs are suitable for homes with children under the age of 11. Mine are a lot younger than that. Are there any rescue sites anyone knows of that have dogs that would be ok around children? They seem to be like gold dust!

@pretentiousrubberduck

I've seen a fair few in my area recently that needed homing, that are apparently good with younger children. But its definitely a rarity! I suppose rescues are often nervous to begin with and the charity dknt want to risk any harm to your child or the dog.

Keep looking, you will find one!

Would you consider a retired greyhound, pretentiousrubberduck? They're supposed to be good with children on the whole (obviously will vary from dog to dog) - very laid back around the house. The Retired Greyhound Trust has branches all over the country.
