Evenings playing board games instead of making pack lunches etc.
Got a 5 day gym pass for the family so bobbing about in the pool.
Cheap 3 night all in uk activity break (nothing too strenuous, just a bit of pond dipping and bug hotel making).
A couple of days out, not as many as usual as the kids seem to prefer to playing out with their mates.

Usual really.
Art galleries, museums, local national trust sites, the beach, swimming, library, garden games, park, baking, crafts etc.

Went on holiday last week.

Had 2 weeks away at the start of the holidays. Otherwise - swimming, park, letting them stay up late playing outside, PlayStation, museum, cinema, trampoline place, friends, etc

Having 11 day family holiday abroad shortly. I work part time and mainly save my leave for these holidays I have had to go into work a few odd days and the kids are older 14 and 15 so they quite like time on their own to chill. We have had a few days out which they have quite enjoyed but it’s different when they are older.

As a family? Holiday next week. Weekends here and there - air show, local parks, picnics, bikes, the odd sleepover or playdate with other kids. Otherwise business as usual, we're at work and they entertain themselves, more or less with a grandparent in nominal charge.

Swimming, soft play, art and craft projects on the go, cinema, theatre, petting farm, trampolining.

Shopping for new uniform, shoes and school supplies, haircuts. We've had a big sort out of a storage space that we were using, so we've done a good few tip runs.

The DC really like things that don't cost anything too - paddling pool and hose playing in the garden, camping overnight in the garden in a tent, picnics in the park, den building, walks in the woods, bikes/scooters, playgrounds.

How old is everyone’s kids?

Does anyone’s kids NOT want to go out?

With teens, they don’t do family time. My pre-teen goes out to play, ir on PS4, weve been on a walk up a few mountains and were away next week.

Dandelionplease · 07/08/2019 15:19

Yeah I suppose things change when they’re teens.
