Split skin under my toe (pic included, sorry!)

Yesterday my toe really hurt, had a look and realised I’ve either cut it or the skin has split.

I do have a callous there (underside of second toe) from wearing flip flops.

I can’t believe how sore it is - anything I can do? Is not bleeding now but is sort of open.

Toe injuries are really painful. I’d clean it wells f put on a padded dressing. Take ibuprofen for the pain.

That's a cut, probably lightly infected since it's sore rather than a clean sting. Regular clean and Savlon until it's under control, and a (rather uncomfortable) plaster whenever you can't keep your feet bare.

Years ago I had a small split/fissure on the underside of my foot and it was painful and wouldn’t heal so I’m desperation input superglue on it and it was brilliant. No more pain and it healed quickly under the glue.

Now if I go on long hikes I spray my feet with anti perspirant and that keeps them fresh and no foot problems.

Thanks - I don’t remember cutting it but I have toddlers so probably stepped on some duplo or something. Will use some cream and a dressing and see how it goes before cracking out the superglue 😂

I feel I should mention that domestic superglue isn't the same stuff surgeons use to seal wounds (they use more flexible, less poisonous stuff), and yours also isn't sterile even if it's a fresh sealed bottle.

It'll be better than not using it if you were out in the wilds, but at home? Clean and antiseptic and plasters - butterflies if you need wound closure.
