Does anyone have any miracle solutions for getting black permanent marker pen off a white gloss table?

Dry wipe whiteboard marker like schools use. Use it on top of the permanent marker and it will wipe off with a dry cloth.

You could try one of those magic erasers, they're a sponge thing, I don't know how to describe them really. The other option is to try some vegetable oil, see if it lifts the pen off with a soft cloth.

Acetone. Try a bit on somewhere hidden from view first to check it won't damage the table.

Flash Eraser?

Sandhead1 · 31/07/2019 16:31

Happened to me and I used the magic eraser sponge. Got it from b&m and you simply put it under the tap and wipes off.

My Mum removed marker pen from a wooden surface with WD40. I would check an inconspicuous area first, as it’s greasy. I think she sprayed some onto a cloth rather than on the table.

I’ve used hairspray to get marker of a wooden desk. Try a small bit first.

Vodka.

Nail varnish remover, but be careful as it could damage the table.

Thank you so much everyone I will give all your suggestions a try! Wish me luck

Hand sanitiser.

Jaffacakebeast · 31/07/2019 18:52

Lynx deodorant (wet) magic sponge

PatrickMerricksGoshawk · 31/07/2019 19:21

Magic erasers are abrasive, I wouldn’t use it on a glossy surface.

BenWillbondsPants · 31/07/2019 19:31

I would try whatever you decide to use on an unseen bit of the table first - many things will take the marker off but will also take the gloss off too.
