Can you tell me what this thing on a white cane is so that I can order one?

Ds is doing can't training and the one he's been lent has this extra bit of semi-transparent plastic tubing in between the end of the cane and the rollerball tip. The piece of tubing means that it can fold down neatly, because it helps the rollerball clear the ends of the folded cane.

I'd really like to order one and have tried googling, but I think it must have a special name, as I haven't managed to find it yet.

Can anyone help, please?

I've also attached a picture for those who are able to see it, with the bit I mean circled in red

would any pvc tubing work? Take it to plumbing supplier/hardware type shop, they might cut a piece off for free.

I would also think soft tubing would work, as it's basically an extender... or does it have screw fittings inside? Hard to see from pic.

It's not got a screw inside. That's a really good idea!

If you search “rnib canes” you might find something (courtesy of DH who is a VI teacher).

I've had a look. Basically it's an extra bit that God on the end of a push on style tip....but I can't find it even searching like that.

It's not pvc though as it's not bendy, it's harder-and rigid?
