If you have an induction hob...?

We are having a new kitchen fitted next week, and will have an induction hob for the first time. If you have an induction hob, what pots and pans have you got and would you recommend them? Thanks

What ever you choose I would check the bottoms of pans are smooth with no sharp edges as it will scratch the glass . After a lot of searching I got my induction pans from M&S.

I got some Tefal or similar stainless steel set from Sainsbury's. Take a fridge magnet shopping with you, if the magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, they're suitable for induction.

Pans bought from Habitat about 24 years ago. They were expensive at the time.
Love the induction hob, wouldn’t change to anything else now.

IKEA are good and I just usually pick up some in tkmaxx.

I've got a set from Lakeland, they work very well on induction

fedup21 · 30/07/2019 19:19

Le Creuset and Meyer both work well.

Le Creuset pan and casserole set here - very sturdy and really good.

Stainless Le Creuset saucepans and a Tefal flat bottom wok for stirfrying.

I only use non-stick pans, so that narrowed down my field. In the end, it was between Circulon, a Jamie Oliver for Tefal set and a Le Creuset set. I had some JL vouchers, so went Le Creuset. They're heavy, but great, still look as good as new, non-stick is excellent. It was quite a few years ago, but these look the same: www.johnlewis.com/le-creuset-toughened-non-stick-saucepan-set-3-piece/p230620300 . We're moving house soon, and I'm so sad to be leaving my beautiful kitchen which I designed to perfectly suit me about 5 years ago, and my fantastic hob 😭

Ugh. I'm almost weeping at the memory of my beautiful De Dietrich induction hob in my last house. Had ikea pans and they were great.

Got this awful gas Rangemaster now and have turned into waynetta slob because it's such a ballache to clean.

Sorry. Slight tangent. Ikea pansSmile

I use my old Le Creuset pans a lot, but you need to be really careful not to catch the bottom as they heat up so quickly. I've got several Stellar pans too from Homesense, they work well and Green Pan too.

We have le creuset pans and they're great. We also have one random Morrison's brand one and it works great too-we just use that one for making pasta and rice etc. Love an induction hob now that I'm used to it!

Nuttyaboutnutella · 31/07/2019 19:53

Thanks all, will have a look into some of these! I'd love to get Cresuet but sadly, budget simply won't stretch that far at the moment.
