Moving to SE London - advice on schools

Researched this topic and most of discussions are a bit outdated. Made a decision to move to SE London this year (Brockley Honor oak, but also maybe Greenwich). What are good primary schools (not religious not independent) in those areas?
Dalmain - is it out of radar? Stillness is the only decent one around Honor oak or i’m Mistaken? Any advice would be great - as well as your thoughts on the area! Thx

Hi there OP,

We're just giving this a bump in case anyone knowledgeable enough to help sees it - hope you get the answer you're looking for!

Do let us know if you want us to move it to primary education, too.

In Brockley/Honor Oak Stillness is by no means the only good school - in fact while the infants is great the Juniors is less so. There are no bad primaries in the area and lots of good ones. Not sure where you are thinking exactly but Beecroft, Gordonbrock, Prendergast Ladywell, Dalmain, Kilmorie are all very well thought of.

As far as the area's concerned, it's a great place to bring up small kids. Lots of parks and trees and a great sense of community.

Depending on where in Greenwich, Halstow and Meridian are very good.

Lovely area for families with lots going on.

If you are moving with school age kids you need to be realistic, schools will have limited places. However great a school is, or close to your new house it's irrelevant if it's full. Find out from the council where there's spaces first, then you can work out which is the best fit - you need a rental contract or to have exchanged on buying before you can get a school place

Thanks for your replies!
I'm planning to move by the end of the year and my daughter will be around 18 months, so planning ahead. I think we should have pretty good chances to get into reception. So looking at being next to good schools
