A friend from Ireland is coming to vist and has asked what food i would like to be brought over

My friend is visiting from Ireland next month they already send me monthy tea parcels they have ask me to give them alist of what i would like them to bring over for me so im after some ideas they are driving so space is no problem

If your friends are coming from the Cork area, ask them to bring a few of the triangular chocolate Battenburg cakes from the Old Mill Bakery (like Thompsons Bakery used to make when I used to go on holiday there when I was a kid!)

@Deemail, the senior Ballymaloe staff wrote to the Irish Times to say they abhorred what Tim Allen had done, that they had cooperated fully with the Garda investigation, but felt sympathy for his family. Are you expecting them all to quit their jobs because their employer viewed child abuse images? TA quit the businesses but there were still huge numbers of cancellations at the restaurant and cookery school, not surprisingly.

(Actually, there were rumours TA was taking the rap for another family member. No idea whether they were true, but I heard them from other people in the restaurant world.)

You can actually get these at my local UK Morrison's but it's not the same.

@Kittekats, I had Blackwater Tanora gin recently. Admittedly, it was disgusting, but it was also pure nostalgia.
