Using cleaner to make our lives easier

We have a cleaner two hours a week at the mo which is working well.

I'm thinking about how to make our lives easier when I return to work from mat leave soon. We can afford to have the cleaner for three hours instead of two. But rather than more cleaning I'm thinking the worst task to keep on top of is washing. Obviously I wouldn't want the cleaner to put washing on (except maybe sheets when she takes them off the beds), but perhaps she could sort it and put some of it away?

Does anyone's cleaner do this? Or does it just feel a bit invasive?

Cleaner here. Ask her!! I regularly do a family's washing /iron /put away. Not an issue at all! Also a pensioners shirts - dozens of them. Even gardens in one!

Do ask her. My cleaner changes the bedclothes, puts away the dry washing already there, puts another wash on before she leaves (once the bedclothes are done), takes in and puts away the Sainsbury’s delivery (chucking anything manky lurking in the fridge as she goes), does the ironing and takes in parcels.

She’s wonderful and I couldn’t work the hours I do without her! I keep giving her pay rises so she doesn’t leave, and it seems to be working as she’s cleaned for me for 10 years now.

Mine does. On a Friday she changes the beds, puts dirty sheets in the machine, moves the wet load to the drier (ds strips his bed and puts them onto wash first thing), then folds them, and puts away the towels from the drier. She irons if we asks and will happily fold washing and put it away if we've got a pile

Ours don't do this for us, but washing and ironing are on their price list (it's actually cheaper per hour than cleaning, presumably because it's easier work) so it's clearly a service they offer

Thanks! Does it feel weird to have her handle your clothes eg underwear (clean obviously!) or do you just get used to it 😂
