Please help me think of something cool to do in London on Thursday

It's my DH's 50th birthday. Unlike me, he is not a human who likes to sit around and just generally enjoy being feted on his birthday. He has all that get up and go stuff I hear about. So, I have exciting plans for the morning, and plans for the evening and night. We live in South London and will be in London Bridge in the evening/night, and will be staying at a fancy-schmancy hotel there so will have a minimal amount of luggage with us.

But I've been thinking I feel like I need something to do with him for a few hours between the end of the morning festivities and the late afternoon/evening shenanigans.

He is a bit of a geek, a huge running/cycling nerd, a film fan (don't want to go see a film though because film is part of elaborate weekend plans) and likes quirky things. I just need to amuse him with something he likes for a few hours and I wanted to give him a couple of options if at all possible. He is annoyingly good at pinpointing the exact things I love and being enthusiastic about them and I am feeling the pressure.

There's a cycling show that's part of RideLondon at the ExCeL that I think I'm going to offer him, but I'm not sure that's very exciting (or it may just be that I don't find such things exciting, so it's hard to judge how much fun that might be for an actual cycling nerd)

So please help me think of a couple of options for him. I don't want to pack the day ridiculously full, so prefer things that don't involve booking, so if he does decide he would like a bit of down time, then that's an option too.

I feel a bit bad, like I'm being very last minute. I feel obliged to point out that I have extensively planned and shopped for his birthday and this is the one last thing on my list!!

If he is into Manga, there is an exhibition on at the moment - www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/exhibitions/manga.aspx

Take a bottle of champagne on a GoBoat and relax for a couple of hours?

Or do the giant Zipline?

For sex, I refer you to the exciting morning plans. Also some of the night time plans. I had drawn a discreet veil over them. But I have covered that extensively. Felt I should also think outside the box a bit!

Boats are an option, but a bit sitty! Also he doesn’t drink. Sigh.

Did think about zip line, though he has done it before. Might make that an option.

Manga sadly not one of his many geek leanings. I’d like it, but that’s probably not the point!

Arcellor Mittal slide?

Climb the o2?

Cindy Sherman at the NPG? Her untitled film still series might appeal. Olafur Eliasson at Tate Modern? Pretty experiential, so I don't think it matters in particular whether your husband is particularly interested in art.

How about the Stanley Kubrick exhibition at the design museum?
