nhs trust contracts minimum hours policy

Do different nhs trusts have minimum hours policies for permanent contracts?

I currently work 15 hours per week over 2 days and I am looking for a new job on the same hours but I only ever see 22.5/30/37.5 contracts advertised?

Our trust won't go for anything under 3 days now. Tbh I can see why,.The mandatory training requirements etc make it hard to make 2 day jobs work. Try to find a jobshare partner?

We don't have s policy re minimum hours, but 2 days a week is unlikely to be practical for most jobs.

I'm guessing there aren't many jobs with those sorts of hours. Jobsharing or staffbank might be a better option.

I have thought about going on the bank but really need the security of a contract.
I have applied for jobs and asked for job share but not been successful. Most trusts seem to want full timers as I guess it's easier.

I had a contract for two days, buy 12 hour days.

That sounds good Troels, I would like that but it seems in our trusts, 12 hour days are being replaced by 7.5 hour days.

I think the issue with so few hours is it can be hard to feel part of a team and get fully involved with all parts of the job. I hope you manage to work something out

I know a couple of people who work for our NHS Trust who work 2 days a week. One of them used to do 3 days and then semi retired but had been there over a decade before doing this. I suppose if someone is working 3 days a week and needs a job share a role such as this might exist but I imagine they'd be few and far between.
