Baby Modelling? Anyone done it

NC as I feel embarrassed asking.

Very frequently I get told my baby should be modelling - he is of mixed ethnicity and very smiley. Plus a very relaxed temperament.

Part of me thinks would be amazing to put some money aside for him for the future if he booked work but it's such a minefield to know what's genuine in this industry and whether it would be worth it.
.
Does anyone have experience?

I was a baby model, in the 70s I was the face of SMA or other such milk, parents banked all my hard earned cash!

Now in my late 40s all I have is some photos of my very young career, I don’t care, those photos are amazing and I’m very proud of myself!

My mum swears she only got paid about £1 but I think she’s lying, that holiday to Barbados didn’t pay for itself 😂

We did one modelling job with my son (he was 18 months and he is now 6 and a half, so a few years ago now!), but we decided it wasn't for us really. It was a massive childrenswear retailer, and he was on their website and in their brochure etc, and it was lovely to see, but the reality of it wasn't much fun. He had to be available to go to London at short notice for a casting, then when he got the job we had to take him to a shoot which was miles away and he was there for hours and was bored. They tried to schedule the day so that children weren't waiting around for too long, but it didn't really work! It's a lovely idea, but in reality I think you're a bit of a puppet for the agency. That said, we literally have one experience of one job, so it's probably not very reliable!

My daughter was through bizzykids. They are not scamming you per se but I wouldn't recommend. Got a number of castings and a handful of jobs - saved a bit of money for her but wouldn't do it again in retrospect. Too much hassle and time for castings (plus travel expenses). As you're in London this would be less so guess you could give it a go as would be less time consuming for you.
