Does anyone else look forward to having the house to themselves?

Just that really.
DH has to go abroad on business once a year for a week.
My DC are adults not living at home, so I have a week of just me and the dog. I really enjoy planning what to do for the week, having a bowl of rice pudding for my dinner if I fancy it etc.
I look forward to him coming back of course Smile.
My friends seem aghast that I like my own company, one suggesting that my dd should stay over.
So am I odd or do other people enjoy time to themselves ?

I love it! It doesn't happen often but when it does I'm overjoyed! I usual do nothing I wouldn't normally do but it's just having the space with no one talking! Just me and the dog Smile

Love the house to myself...even more now I'm divorced! Do what I want when I want, the novelty is never going to wear off!!

Oh I love it

I’m divorced with 2 adult kids who have flown the nest so always have the house to myself! I love having them to visit but am always happy when they go back to their own homes. No intention of living with someone ever again. I sometimes think I’d like a boyfriend but we’d have to live separately. I live in the countryside so if he had a city pad that would be ideal Smile

It makes me go all giddy at the thought of being alone in the house for a few days, it’s my favourite thing

I love it. I plan what take away I'm going to get, I have long baths, read, watch trash films, get all my housework done, have a bottle of wine all to myself!

I miss DP after about 3 night, but I wouldn't want anyone else here for the sake of company! I really enjoy time alone.

I enjoy it. Don't mind being on my own with the cats. My husband and daughter are currently in Munich. They left Friday night and will be back on Wednesday evening. I have health issues which is why I don't go away with them and I don't want them to miss out because of me so I'm all for it! I love it. If I'm having a bad day and feeling rough I don't have to put a brave face on as it's just me 🤣. Just had dinner and now sat watching Netflix. Probably going to start the final season of Orange is the New Black. Enjoy!

Oh l love it to, m love being alone anywhere. Right now l am sat in a child’s 7th birthday party in a adventure centre my boy doesn’t need me to be here but he asked me to stay and l am alone with my phone and my Diet Coke mango and no one has said my name or needed me for an hour and 15 minutes, l can zone out the noise. God l needed some time alone after the horrible nights sleep l had.
