50th Birthday present inspiration needed for hard to buy for friend

This is a friend I've bought presents for every year for 20+ years and it just gets harder. I did suggest we stop but she asked that we continue. She's difficult to please - not that she's ungrateful at all, far from it but she knows what she likes and doesn't like. So.. I have done toiletries, jewellery, candles and bags/purses to death. Have also bought plants and flowers a few times.
She doesn't wear much makeup. Doesn't like beauty treatments. Doesn't consider vouchers of any kinda 'proper gifts'. Not many hobbies, doesn't travel much. Does enjoy reading but I wouldn't know what she has/hasn't read and she wouldn't appreciate a voucher. She had a couple of mag subscriptions off family for Christmas. Not a keen cook, never uses the cookery books and not one to enjoy just browsing a new one used to enjoy crafts but can't use one of her hands very well now which limits what she can do. We take it in turns to take each other out for meals so that wouldn't be anything different. Doesn't drink much, and not adventurous food-wise, so exotic ingredients or unusual serving dishes which I'd love for example she wouldn't use. I wouldn't buy her clothes. Theatre trip wouldn't work geographically.

  • I love buying presents and usually manage to find nice things for people but always struggle with this one and have completely drawn a blank this year .

Budget about £25 - because that's what we agreed we would spend on each other.

Any help appreciated, thank you

Scarf?
Cashmere wrist warmers?
A beautiful cushion?
Picture frame?
Bracelet?
Rose bush?
A year's supply of her favourite biscuit/chocolate/cheese/whatever?
Small print/painting?
Her favourite music from her 'youth' on vinyl?
A beautiful copy of one of her favourite novels with a book token inside it?

A bottle of 'Fifty pound gin' (Doesn't cost £50!,)

A Chanel compact mirror, about £28 and comes nicely packaged in a velvet pouch and Chanel bag so it looks special for a 50th. I know she doesn’t wear makeup but a mirror is still useful.

A charity donation for a photo of an abused creature now benefiting from the donation.

Photo cushion if you and her. Hopefully that will change her mind about gift giving.

@Soola how that made me laugh but very true! Thank you all. She doesn't really drink so gin would be a waste but noted for another 50th coming up.
I've given plants before but given how difficult this is and how little time I have to spend on it, i think I'll take a trip to a nearby rose nursery and see if I can find something appropriate to mark the occasion. Thanks for the suggestion
