Is it legal for a golf club to say women can’t play until after 2:30?

I’m sure it’s illegal?

And yet that’s the policy of the local golf club!

If it is illegal, who can I go to to get it sorted?

PanGalactic I think we can agree on society day groups!! But I’ve often been stuck behind an all male 3 or 4 ball ripping my hair out in frustration as they wouldn’t be courteous enough to let you play through because you were a woman, despite them losing more than a hole from the group in front. In fact the sexism that still exists on golf courses is one of the reasons I don’t play much any more,

In the past though, women paid lower fees as a "lady member". Which would explain why they were restricted to less busy times.

Like off peak gym membership, you pay less but can only use the faciltiies 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Difference being that you can opt to pay more and use the gym when you like. You wouldn't have the option of joining as a male member if you're female.

This is now very outdated and even the most old-fashioned of golf clubs are into the 20th century, if they have'nt quite managed to get into the 21st yet.
