What is the going rate for feeding Guinea Pigs?

Our neighbours lovely 11 year old son is going to feed and water our Guinea Pigs whilst we are away.
What is the going rate please?

PS we aren't going for a few weeks, hopefully this heat wave will be over, but my neighbour is also around in case her son has problems. We are currently taking measure to mitigate the heat (trying to anticipate any other comments on this thread) for the Guinea Pigs.

I don’t pay my Guinea pig feeders. I normally leave them chocolates etc.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 24/07/2019 10:09

Will they need to buy fresh veg etc while you're away?

Redpostbox · 24/07/2019 10:10

Thanks Avocados- I hadn't thought of that. Yes they would.

Thanks Daisies, great idea but I think he would prefer money.

Yeah he's going to want money rather than sweets at that age. How many days are you away?

FamilyOfAliens · 24/07/2019 10:14

I leave my piggies with a pet holiday home in the next street.

She charges me £3.50 per day for two piggies, though that’s because one of them gets free holidays because I rehomed him as a rescue from her.

I would give him £10 a week.

2 visits a day? Do they also need locking up securely at night?

We paid ours £5 a day and that was 15 years ago.
