***NOT GRAPHIC PHOTO OF MEDICAL INCLUDED*** Breast sore & bruise - how urgent?

I’ve had a sore right next to my nipple which I assumed was a blocked hair follicle issue. It’s not really healed but I have an autoimmune disease and I’m on immune suppressing meds, so I assumed it was healing slowly and was using sudocreme. Am otherwise well. No lumps or bumps and no family history of anything nasty.

Now I’ve found a bruise near the sore thing. I can’t get a GP appointment, I phoned yesterday and today on the blimming dot. aaah. Obviously I will keep trying but in the mean time, has anyone has similar? What was it and what helped please?

I haven't had similar but any changes to your breast need to be investigated. Do you have a walk in centre nearby? If not phone your GP back and tell them you need an urgent appointment.

I wasn’t sure if a walk in centre was appropriate. That said, I think it’s an infection and probably needs antibiotics so maybe walk in can help. Thanks.

Tried again for urgent appointment but no joy even after I explained. I might go in person tomorrow

Update it started discharging green pus and I managed to get a GP appointment but it looks no better, despite oral antibiotics. It’s got quite painful. I don’t know if this is normal? It has a black part in the scab - assume this means is healing?

GP referred under 2 week wait to breast clinic and my appointment there is next Tuesday. I don’t know if I should wait it or out or battle for another GP appointment.

Keep an eye on the area for heat and redness. If it gets red, maybe draw a line around it to see if it is spreading. Also watch for red streaks and fever. If any of that happens then you should probably go to A&E

Thank you. It’s got a red area around the sore it but it’s not spread for a couple of days. It has got more painful though and it didn’t really hurt much before. I’ll keep an eye on it.
