Loestrin 20 out of stock all over the country- brexit???

It's taken me years to find a contraceptive pill that suits me- Loestrin 20 is literally magic.

Now I'm completely unable to get hold of any, due to nationwide stock issues- I have been advised by a pharmacist that this is due to Brexit!

Does anyone know any more about this? Or when the supply issue is likely to be resolved?

FDA have a number of synthetic hormones on their outages list.

I note the tendency on MN to blame everything on Brexit, even when it's easy to discover online that this originated elsewhere. Ditto for the HRT outages.

Such outages occur frequently, and usually go unremarked.

Correlation does not mean causation, but I suppose there will be an awful lot of attempts at erroneous linkages in the coming weeks.

Yes, there might be issues in supply. No, these have not yet occurred.

I’ve just seen this and I’m panicking now! I’ve been on Loestrin 30 for years now as it’s the only pill I’ve found than doesn’t cause side effects. I’ve got enough to last me until March so I’m going to keep everything crossed it’s back in stock by then.

I might be completely stupid but is there anyway if getting this pill back. I've never found a pill that doesn't give me worse period pain or make my depression much worse?

I just found this thread. I’m gutted it’s been discontinued. I’m now off the pill as of last month and waiting now for my dreaded heavy periods fk return. It worked amazing for me for 8 years with no side effects. Since coming off I’ve had crippling anxiety and panic attacks. No fun. I wish they had brought this pill back. Loestrin saved me from crippling pain and heavy periods. There’s no like for like pill or anything as safe so I’ve got to come off pills as I’m 40.
