Bought this monstera delicosa on Friday and it has a scorch now by the looks of it? Or is this just something that happens to older leaves?
Google says warm, sunny position but not full sun. It’s currently in conservatory but we basically have a giant skylight so the edges of the roof are just normal ceiling... so it is very warm and sunny but under a ceiling. Other option is living room which doesn’t get much light!
Thanks

So is it in direct sunlight?

I would move for now if so. Even temporarily. The sun is so strong at the moment and the plant may not be used to it. You could always reaclimatise it when the height of summer is over?

Ok thanks maybe I will move it to the living room. I’m not sure what counts as full sun, I mean it’s not in direct sun at the moment so I guess that’s not full sun.

It’s now at risk of the kids fiddling with it in the living room 😄

Mine is in a big bay windowed south facing room but not near the window. It seems really happy and is growing like crazy.

It is a forest plant in its native habitat in Mexico, so it requires filtered light, and to be kept constantly moist without being overwatered.
How hot is your conservatory? With the current heat we are experiencing, it may be too hot for it, so moving it to a shadier, cooler place would probably help.
