Camping in the south

I’m overwhelmed by the amount of options so hoped someone might be able to give me pointers.
We’re looking to camp (tent - can do non-electric) somewhere on the south coast with our 2 yr old, 8 yr old and lively cocker spaniel puppy.

We’d love a pool/park/stables close or on site but stables/pool not essential. We’d like to be close to beaches and walks where we can take the dog. So far I seem to be finding Newquay looks good. Does anyone have any suggestions? How dog-friendly is the coast around Devon/Cornwall etc?

Haven View in the New Forest. Basic, spacious campsite with good pitches, decent showers and an onsite shop. 20mins walk on a good footpath to the sea (rocky/sandy, good crabbing and rockpooling, rather than beach). Lots of easy walking, with a nice pub (kids welcome) in Keyhaven about 30-40 minutes walk (or you can drive). Great seawater lido in Lymington 30-40 minutes walk the other way (or you can drive).

The children will enjoy a trip on the little (and I mean little!) ferry to Hurst Castle, and you can also take one of the (rather larger) ferries over the the Isle of Wight for the day. Or take a 20-30 minute drive (plus the time it takes to cross on the Poole harbour ferry) to one of the loveliest sandy beaches in the area: Shell Bay. There are seasonal restrictions on dogs on the beaches, but Auntie Google can advise you there.

Tregarton Park would meet most of your criteria. It’s got a pool and good playground on site, plus a dog exercising field and a designated dog patio near the swimming pool. The nearest beach is just under 2 miles away and dogs are allowed all year round. The Eden Project (dogs allowed www.edenproject.com/visit/before-you-visit/dogs) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (also does allowed www.heligan.com/visiting-us/dogs-at-heligan) are a short drive away.

Thanks so much everyone. I looked at Tregaron park as it looked great but it didn’t have any availability for the dates we wanted.
We’ve settled on Monkey Tree. I’ve read really good and really bad reviews so I’m preparing for the worst then I can only be pleasantly surprised.
Also, it looks like the rain is really coming in next week - typical.
Thanks again for the responses Smile

Hope you have a good time. You've prompted me to book a weekend camp. I'm not too worried about the weather forecast- TBH I think I'd prefer to camp in the rain than in this week's extreme heat! When it rains our 'uniform' is usually t-shirt and shorts with cagoule and sandals/wellies. A fleece, too, if it's chilly. Skin dries faster than clothes, and doesn't need to be pegged out.
