What job can I do?

Hi all, I’m really hoping someone can help me by suggesting something I haven’t even thought of!

To summarise: sahm with 4 kids, 3 at school and a 1 year old. I’m a qualified teacher but burnt out and had to leave. My husband works away a lot so childcare might be an issue.

We are broke, and I need to work! Any ideas, lovely people?! Thank you in advance!

Tutoring? Tutors around here seem to charge £30 for a 40 min slot

Supply is much less stressful, or a TA role.

BrutusMcDogface · 18/07/2019 11:01

Thanks! I wish I could do a ta role but the childcare just wouldn’t work as I’d be paying more than I earned 😔

Or spend less

BrutusMcDogface · 18/07/2019 11:26

Haha! I hate dogs (sorry!!😳) and wish I could spend less! Childminding might be an option, though.....

Education regulation? I work in that field (not for primary/secondary education though), and we get good flexible working and annual leave. A lot of regulators have good family friendly policies.

I can condense my hours, work from home, go part time etc if I need to.

BrutusMcDogface · 18/07/2019 11:48

Oooh. Definitely haven’t thought of that, Keeper ! Off to google. Thanks!

If your husband is home at weekends could you tutor then while he looks after the children ?

BrutusMcDogface · 19/07/2019 14:04

Fog- unfortunately, he’s often away at weekends.
