My mum is 52 and has always been in reasonably good health
Gave up smoking years ago but has a glass of wine or two a night ...
Anyway
She had been through what I thought what I thought was the menapause but seems v uneducated about it
She claims at one point she didn't have a bleed for two years but around the new year had what she called a period and now atm gets on/off spotting and light bleeding in the pattern of periods so she'll not bleed for a month and then will for a few days ...
She says this is her hormones having ' one last go ' I am not convinced and think she should see a GP but she won't .
When I mentioned a few months back I had the all clear from my smear test she said she should really go for hers but she just won't .
I have googled and it says 1/10 women with post Menapauaal bleeding it can be cancer
I am absolutely terrified but she will not see a gp despite me nagging for months
Just looking for some positivity
After months would she be having other symptoms?
I can only hope she will see a GP on her accord .

I'm also not actually sure if she has been a full two years with no bleeding as she won't talk about it much to me and claims she spots sometimes

I'm sorry but I have no advice to offer.
Perhaps your mum feels embarrassed or even in denial?
If she refuses to see her G.P then there's not really anything you can do, except maybe look on the nhs website f o r advice and information then print it off and give it too her.
Try chatting to her over a cuppa when you won't be interrupted, she may be more receptive if you keep it light hearted.

I agree with Dogbert about printing off some bits from the NHS website. Offer to go with her and try and talk to her about how much it’s worrying you.
