Ok, in short she's done amazingly. Anything over 110 is working at 'greater depth' (above expected standard for her age)

Yet again, another thread from a parent who doesn't understand SATs results that are high but won't speak to the school Hmm

Goodnightjude1 · 17/07/2019 16:08

Oh piss of u grumpy bunch of twats. I didn’t know they were high, that’s why I asked!!!!! Would I honestly come on to an anonymous forum to boast???? 🙄

Clearly the child is adopted. Can't of got her intelligence from her parents.

HairyFloppins · 17/07/2019 16:11

Your child is a genius OP, well done.

ChicCroissant · 17/07/2019 16:15

So your child's school didn't have any mocks for the SATs, any information evenings OP?

Russell19 · 17/07/2019 16:52

Wow, I can't believe how mean everyone is being.

Ignore them OP and celebrate your daughter's achievements. Any questions message me. (Teacher of primary school) Grin

Loveglee · 17/07/2019 16:54

It clearly states ‘met expected standards’. Why on earth would you moan at her?

TinklyLittleLaugh · 17/07/2019 16:57

Oh come on, those results are decent but not brag worthy. Give the OP the benefit of the doubt.

cheesemumma · 17/07/2019 17:08

There's nothing to understand. SATs are a worthless crock of shit. I wouldn't mention them to your daughter again .

Goodnightjude1 · 17/07/2019 17:17

@Loveglee I wasn’t moaning at her about her results. I was moaning at her before she got her results about not always trying her best

The results for her school are quite low in comparison with national outcomes, particularly in maths, whereas your daughter's results would hold up anywhere - she has done well in, perhaps, less than ideal circumstances. That should stand her in good stead later, particularly if she maintains a positive attitude to school and her subjects.

pepsimax20bigger · 17/07/2019 17:42

Clearly the child is adopted. Can't of got her intelligence from her parents.

Ironic

DaphneFanshaw · 17/07/2019 17:54

I have nothing else to add, just here for the bun fight.

TeenTimesTwo · 17/07/2019 17:58

OP. Suggest you pop over to the Primary board for long discussions on SATs.

Also suggest you frequent the Secondary board during the next 5 years to keep yourself abreast of required information so that you don't end up on results day not knowing wither 6s and 7s are good or not.

Knittedjimmychoos · 17/07/2019 17:59

Op I struggled to understand my dd score as well. I'm not good at maths or breaking down stats, scaled scores.

I'm still in old money A, B, C, etc.

Teddyb123 · 17/07/2019 19:46

I teach GAPS in a primary school. Your daughters done so well. Anything over 100 is age expected and over 110 greater depth which is excellent. It's so hard to understand. Hope this helps x

Buildalegohouse · 17/07/2019 19:54
  1. It really isn't difficult to understand.
  2. Google it!
  3. How do we know if your child is doing her best? Maybe she should be scoring 120 across the board and has really underperformed. Ask her teacher if you don't know. 🙄
Shelley54 · 17/07/2019 20:31

@Goodnightjude1 Assuming this is for real, on your 2nd picture if you look at columns 4 and 6 you’ll see for example your daughter achieved 111 for reading against an average of 104. If you look down those columns you’ll see that she’s done better than average on everything. She’s done very well.

chomalungma · 17/07/2019 20:42

The great thing with those scores is the targets that will be set in secondary school. For 'some reason', all DS's secondary targets have been based on his KS2 SATs schools and haven't altered at all during secondary school. Even his art and music targets were based on his English score...

And just wait till you see secondary reports.
