Hi, just as the title says really. Must be able to switch easily from carpet to hard floors.

Current hoover is a pull along miele, nowt wrong with it but the hose has gone and I want another upright.

Please help me to avoid another expensive hoover mistake!

All The Shark products I’ve tried have been great. Although using them can put a certain irritating song in my head.

Postmanbear · 17/07/2019 14:58

Miele hoovers have a ten year guarantee so if it’s broken get them to replace it.

I am usually a big fan of Miele products but the only upright vacuum I’ve had from there was useless. A triumph of slick design over function. It went to the dump after about 18 months.

My shark arrived today (bought on amazon prime day). I could not believe the suction on it! I have never had a vacuum like it! Even when my dyson was new it didn't come close to how powerful the shark is. I also like all the features, like how there's a top opening to the brush section (me and DD shed a lot of hair!), a long cord so you don't have to keep switching plugs, and it has a switch to go from carpets to hard floors. I got the liftaway as I have a lot of stairs and will make it so much easier. I would definitely recommend it.

Sebo - the best.

Kaz2200 · 17/07/2019 15:51

Can i ask how much you paid for your shark.

Kaz2200 · 17/07/2019 15:52

Sorry I meant the shark on amazon prime. And which model was it.

CatToddlerUprising · 17/07/2019 15:53

Shark. I have the Pet Lift Away- it’s even better than the Hetty I had

HuckfromScandal · 17/07/2019 15:58

Shark

I love my shark

Asta19 · 17/07/2019 16:01

Mine was £119 as it was a prime day deal. I just looked and they're selling the same one for £160 now, which is still definitely worth it imo. I got the NV601UK lift away.

easterbuns1 · 17/07/2019 16:03

I've had my shark for almost a year, much better auction than my previous fusion and so easy to push and use. Absolutely love it.

easterbuns1 · 17/07/2019 16:04

Better suction than my previous dyson even 🤦‍♀️

Bonkersblond · 17/07/2019 16:07

Shark, it’s not as lightweight as my previous Vax, the hose doesn’t stay clipped in at the back which is annoying, I actually don’t want to like it but the suction on it is like no vacuum I’ve had before and you can switch easily from carpet to hard floors, if the suction stays as it is then I would recommend as I’m willing to put up with the minor niggles.

takemetomars · 17/07/2019 19:28

Thanks everyone, have ordered a shark!

Now have an earworm, no prizes for guessing which one!

I got my Shark lift away today same as @Asta19 I hoovered one room and it filled up. Hoovered our bedroom and it filled up again. I can’t wait to get up tomorrow and Hoover the rest of the house!

I know what you mean, I'm like a kid with a new toy Grin

8misskitty8 · 18/07/2019 12:23

Recommend the shark liftaway as well.
I had a dyson previously and the first time I used the shark I couldn’t believe how full the container got after hoovering one room !

Is sooks up loads so you will have to empty the container regularly but it does make you think what is lurking in a carpet.

The lift away function is great for doing the stairs as it comes with attachments to put on the hose to turn it into a mini version.
