Unhappy with new kitchen, what are my rights?

Hubby and I have just had a new kitchen installed by Optiplan in Basingstoke and I'm not happy with it. It doesn't look like the original design on both the original plan or images. Both the plan and images make our room look bigger, with more space around the units & the units look shallower. We have also had an island put in that is far too big for the space, which also looks smaller in the original plans. There is also an issue with part of the room not being drawn correctly on the plan. Wondering if anyone can give me any advice as to what i should do next and what my rights are? I have already raised the issues with Optiplan but not heard back from their customer services team yet and I'm worrying because I have just been reading dreadful reviews about their customer services department online!

The very best of British.

I think you need to push this, and push it hard...

Did the plan have measurements on op? When you say the units looked shallower and the island smaller, were the dimensions shown on the plan? I recall when we had a new kitchen in a previous property, the room looked much larger (it wasn't the same company btw) kind of wide angled, like some of the photos you see on rightmove...

Sounds as though you definitely have cause for complaint if part of the room isn't shown correctly on the plan though

Depends if the plan is wrong, or whether it’s the picture they mock-up is. If it’s the latter there’ll be some sort of ‘just for illustrative purposes’ disclaimer, but if the measurements on the plan don’t match the actual measurements then you have a case.

What exact stage are you at?

When did you realise that the plan of one part of the room wasn't right?
Surely they'll argue that this should have been pointed out to them prior to the job commencing?

Do you have measurements and dimensions. Does it just feel smaller. Or are the units not to the measurements given?

Is it all how it feels? Or is it too shallow? Kitchen unit bigger than it's supposed to be.
mm and cm's wise?

Is your email more technical: ie it's supposed to be 49mm but it's 53mm?

Did you raise concerns with the workmen at every stage? Did you contact customer service then aswell, saying to the workmen that it didn't feel right and you needed to check with .... head office or main office etc?
