Does this look right?
It's been a long time since I last did this so I'm doubting myself...

I tried to find an online calculator to check it but had no luck.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

That looks great. I don't think you need my help, you've written a model solution Grin

Yay!! Thanks MsAwesome.

I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly but obviously my memory is better than i thought 😁

@RoryGillmoresEvilTwin

Are you sure you've copied the original problem correctly? The three angles in any triangle always add up to 180 deg - which isn't the case in yours, so it isn't actually a legitimate shape.

ShetlandWife · 17/07/2019 00:14

Surely angles d and e should be 42.5°?

ItsGoingTibiaK · 17/07/2019 00:33

You’re right, @ShetlandWife. Not that it matters as you don’t need those angles to calculate EF.

@RoryGillmoresEvilTwin. Here’s the solution. Essentially, you split the triangle into two right-angled triangles and then you can use sin = opp/hyp to work out EF, which is the hypotenuse.
