At GPs have you ever asked to speak to receptionist privately?

Just curious as on any thread about GP receptionist and confidentiality people always complain about the lack of confidentiality. Someone always says in response, well just ask to speak to them somewhere private. I could never imagine asking to do that with a queue of people behind, I just would not have the nerve.
So I wondered if anyone here had asked to speak to a GPs receptionist privately and if yes what the response was?

I have and was taken to a small side room with no fuss. It was just accepted I wanted privacy.

I've had countless patients asking to speak privately in the side room. No problem. Or they write down what they need.

Only time I asked the receptionist replied with an appt time for the doc, so I didn't need to - probably decided that with my history I was being serious and sensible so an appt would be indicated. But there is a private room next to the desk for that purpose, also used when ds had a rash and they told up to go straight in there.
