Reasons for being up early

Ds1 vomited all over my bedroom at 4am.
Ds2 wet the bed at 5am.
DH is cleaning stuff upstairs, I'm supervising downstairs. Motor racing on one telly, DanTDM on the other. Sick bowl etc in place. The house stinks, even the cat has buggered off out.

I have Brew. I am not awake...

I had really bad cramp in my leg at 5am. Its pulled my muscle so I'm gingerly limping quietly around the house before I get ready for work. It's only a half day shift and I get to bring my new cats home after 🙂

Woke at 5 because I'm in my own bed for the first time in 9 days, feels a bit weird but also brilliant. Lounging in bed with coffee and snoring dog now. Also because I had a few too many celebratory gins last night.

dd2's (nearly 2) eyes ping open at 5.50 like clockwork every morning. often she's as annoyed as I am that she's awake but can't go back to sleep and screams if I try (waking dd1 whose struggling to fall asleep before 8.30 and needs her sleep).

I've got used to it now.

Off to work on the first of 3 long days.
Hope all who are unwell recover soon x

Seems that 6am is my natural time to wake now. DD slept through the night (yay!) and has only just started babbling in the next room, this is a major win for us.

I’ve been awake since 5, having a shit time at work having been passed over for a promotion and pondering on the fact I’ll spend the rest of my life alone now I’m divorced. Kids away this weekend too. For those of you with up with babies/toddlers, before you know it they will be going to bed after you and sleeping until the afternoon Smile

Because we were on an overnight ferry which docked at 4am UK time so were up at 3.30am. We are now heading south through France, making good time and looking forward to a week of sunshine, food, wine and friends.

Positive reasons to be up early. Grin

Been up since 4.30 when DS has a bad dream. He went back to sleep but my mind was then racing. ELCS was brought forward by a week as of about 5pm yesterday, so we have 3 more days as a family of 3 and all the things I had planned to get ready for baby’s arrival in the next week have gone out the window! I’ll only be 36+2. I’ve only been on mat leave for a week, and we went straight on a UK break so have had no time at home to prepare things. DH was also wide awake, thinking about all the things he needs to sort at work so we ended up putting the tv on as a distraction.

Good morning. Up early as we have a hospital visit hopefully to get to the bottom of ds's frequent and copious nosebleed. He had a vessel cauterised yesterday but no improvement. 4 long nosebleeds yesterday so hospital again today. A train and bus journey and much waiting around, with the worry of what the hell is happening in his nose. Glad to hear all your early risings, especially the happy ones. Happiness is contagious and hope we too catch some.

I'm in pain but can't take any more naproxen until 8am.

LiveFatsDieYoGnu · 13/07/2019 07:49

I’m 9 weeks pregnant and the nausea kicks in and wakes me at 6 at the very latest. Yesterday I was vomiting at 5 am Sad

Still, it sounds like it’s all good prep for life with young kids HmmGrin

Flowers and Brew to all having tough mornings.
