Help! Need allergy free party cake

So we're doing a party for our son's 5th birthday and there is a child coming who has a severe nut allergy well as allergy to wheat and eggs.
I told the mum I will make sure no nuts at the party and prepare some wheat/egg free sandwiches etc, but I need help with a cake!
Dont want the child to go without but it is proving impossible to find an egg and wheat free cake which is also nut free.
I am no Mary Berry to put it mildly so cant make one. Anyone had a similar problem?? Happy to even buy a cupcake or something similar for his party bag, just so he has a treat like all other kids x

Sorry meant to say I use vegetable oil instead of eggs

I'd think a traditional cake would be difficult.

What about a rocky road, with appropriate crushed biscuits?

Or an icecream cake?

Or chocolate krispie cakes?

I think you will struggle with an egg free, flour free, nut free sponge cake.

Just love food company supply to supermarkets. Check out their website for where they stock them. And good for you thinking about a kid with nut allergies and not excluding them

Ocasi does a great frozen wheat, egg and dairy free sponge.

Ocasi? Ocado...

Ask the parents what the child usually has at celebrations?

Asda have quite a big selection of cakes in their free from aisle. The free from cakes tend to err on the side of being everything free (presumably to maximise the potential market) so they’re probably all wheat/nut/dairy free.

DS has coeliac disease and is always put out that he gets stuff that’s both vegan and gluten free. He thinks this is a massive injustice (since it’s bad enough when it’s GF). 😂

Crazy cake is super easy to make, and works fine with Doves Farm GF flour. You honestly can't go wrong with it, and it tastes great.

Check with his mum on the palm oil, but Betty Crocker choc icing in a tub is GF and egg free and would make decorating it easy

progestermoan · 09/07/2019 11:06

Betty Crocker or other gf mix
Use a can of fizzy drink in place of oil etc
The Betty Crocker icing vegan too

Sadly not egg free though Crustaceans which the OP needs, but yes ASDAs cakes are pretty good. They do a Millionaires Shortbread which meets all of the requirements though.

Although it may be worth checking with the parents exactly how egg free the child needs to be as some people can't tolerate e.g egg sandwiches or quiche but can tolerate eggs baked in cakes.

Did a quick search online and this was the first one that came up!
theloopywhisk.com/2018/02/07/gluten-free-vegan-chocolate-cake/

Didn't feel the need to look any further because just look how chocolatey and moist it looks!! I can bake gluten/wheat, dairy and nut free fairly easily, but do tend to use eggs. However, you can buy vegan egg alternatives (in a powder or liquid form), and can apparently use the water from canned chickpeas (have never tried that myself), so there's a few option. Personally I've found the Doves Farm gf flour blend works brilliantly in cakes.

This was the photo of the cake!
Also, would second the Betty Crocker choc fudge icing in a tub too Cake

Sorry, me again...
And the Betty Crocker icing would mean you wouldn't need to use her recipe for ganache which is made from coconut oil. However, you could also make a really easy, chocolatey buttercream icing just using a vegan/dairy free margarine instead of butter. And probably a whole lot easier than the ganache icing recipe on there :)
