Everything my neighbour does is loud

He is a loud man. he's just slammed his door and made my house shake for the umpteenth time today. If he's not slamming his door he's banging around in his kitchen or standing in his garden either whistling, singing or talking REALLY loudly.
He's not a nasty man, - a bit odd sometimes but generally kind and helpful and friendly - but he just does everything so loudly. He isn't deaf - so he must hear the noise he makes.

My XH was another noise maker - couldn't shut a door quietly, couldn't put a dish or pan away without banging it, always making some sort of whistling, or droning humming noise constantly. It's like he always had to let everyone know he was there, And neighbour is the same.

I just needed to vent really - today I have reached peak mindless noise - but I will have calmed down by tomorrow.

Do you live with or near a noise maker ? Or are you a noise maker yourself ? (if you are - why ?)

We are so noisy. Kids argue with each other, talk in loud voices, don't respond to me asking them to do stuff in quiet voices. We sing along to the radio and generally make a din. Sorry neighbours.

My neighbour is a noise maker and it's driving my slowly insane,I'm looking to move because of it. Slamming doors so hard the pictures on my wall genuinely shake, TV so loud it vibrates through the walls etc

My DS is incredibly loud, he just doesn’t seem to be able to judge how much power is needed to shut a door etc so everything is very heavy-handed. I think it’s a sensory thing to do with his autism. He also has a naturally loud voice. Ironically he finds it difficult to tolerate quite a few noises, for instance we had to find a quiet kettle.

God my neighbors too. Banging, slamming, arguing, music, throwing things at each other, dragging a wooden table across their laminate floor ALL NIGHT, (I assume it's their 'skinning up table')Hmm, ladding around in the garden, slamming the hoover into the wall repeatedly, stupid bullshit rap music.

They own too, I can't wait till they split up, sell up and FUCK OFF. Angry

I wouldn't mind so much if it was raised voices in arguments, or if it was children playing etc. It's the normal everyday stuff that most people do reasonably quietly that he has to do loudly - if he's not shutting a door or banging cupboards he creates his own noise with the whistling.

My neighbour on the other side (it's a terrace)has a baby who sometimes cries, a four year old who plays noisily and often has friends round and they giggle and shout, and an 8yr old stepDD who is often there and so three kids altogether. I don;t mind their noise at all - doesn't bother me - it is Loudman's avoidable deliberate noise making that drives me round the bend.
I don't know how his wife tolerates it - she is a lovely woman, but looks quite worn out and long suffering and who can blame her ?
