Zoflora - what am I doing wrong?

Just used some for the first time. Not sure I’ve done it properly cos I can hardly smell it and you can’t see a disinfectant working can you? I was a bit put off by the flammable warnings etc. but I diluted it as per instructions. Maybe I haven’t used it widely enough? Just down drains and loos. Can I mop with it on real wood an laminate wood? Put it in laundry? ( direct as I don’t use the detergent drawer)

Meant to say I’ve bought a bloody big bottle so would appreciate ideas!

I put one cap to 400mls of water to dilute. You can definitely smell it. I use it in a spray mop to mop the wooden flooring or in a spray bottle to wipe sides down etc.

That’s the measure I used.might just do a little patch test on the dining table ( just scared it might mark cos it’s so flammable.)

I've never been impressed with it, the only one I've actually been able to smell properly is citrus fresh. Used to clean the full house with it while I was pregnant and also water it down and spray as an air freshener but felt like the smell never lasted long.

ExpletiveDelighted · 06/07/2019 15:54

It's not meant to be an air freshener or laundry fragrance, it's a disinfectant.

Newname908 · 06/07/2019 15:54

I think it’s over rated. The smell doesn’t last and I definitely wouldn’t be washing my clothes in it.

Eustasiavye · 06/07/2019 15:56

I can never smell it even just it, yet at dds I smell it straight away.

yourestandingonmyneck · 06/07/2019 16:01

It's a disinfectant and it's incredibly toxic. It even says on the label how damaging it is to marine life.

Don't buy into the whole Mrs Hinch thing. It is an incredibly harsh mix of chemicals. It's not an air freshener, it's not for washing clothes in, and it shouldn't be used in reed diffusers Confused

concernedforthefuture · 06/07/2019 16:03

It's a disinfectant, it's not meant to be used as a cleaning product (unlessSmile someone has been unwell on the floor ), nor an air-freshener.
I'm not sure it can be very good for your lungs breathing in mists of the stuff.

reluctantbrit · 06/07/2019 16:03

I only use it to disinfect like cleaning the bathroom after a sickness bug.

Otherwise I put some in the rinse Cha per in the washing machine or directly on some clothing as it is the only way to get rid of sweat smell in synthetic clothing.

MrsGrindah · 06/07/2019 16:07

I know it’s not an air freshener! But the website and users on here always comment on the lovely smell so I was asking if I was using it properly.

The lavender one I use for mopping floors is pretty strong smelling, and not too artificial. It does fade quickly when the floors dry. Definitely should not be used as a substitute for lavender pillow spray or similar sleep aids Grin

Soola · 06/07/2019 16:28

I love the Rose one, just one small capful makes for a long lasting smell.

Pinktinker · 06/07/2019 16:31

I always mop my (wood) floors with it. Smells fantastic.
