Can you just breastfeed at night?

I have to go back to work full time in a few weeks when DC is 3mo Sad I know my supply will plummet and I can't express when I'm there really so I'm going to have to stop and formula feed, however can I still have a night time feed for comfort or will my milk just dry up?

I went back to work full time when my DS was 7 months. He wouldn't take a bottle but I carried on breast feeding him in the mornings and evenings until he was about 14 months without any problem at all. I only stopped because he wanted to. My milk didn't dry up until I stopped entirely.

Does your son take a bottle OP?

I think you’re risking mastitis tbh, what will you do with the milk that fills your breasts during the day? You will probably needs to pump at least once.

But I know lots of people who continue to feed overnight once they return to work (mad people- what about sleep lol)

I think your work legally have to make provision for you to pump if you want to...

Otherwise as above it’s def possible. There’s a useful section on kellymom.com about this.

I went back to work at 6 months with my two and continued to feed at night and then just a bedtime feed. I kept going with eldest until he was 18 months. Boobs took a few weeks to work it out so a bit swollen (especially with eldest as he was boob monster) but settled down and they are amazingly smart at creating the right amounts

I breast fed morning and evening. I generally found it unbearable and this was the best I could do. It was fine. Milk supply was fine.

In France maternity leave is 13 weeks so I'd guess it's pretty common.
