How strict are traffic wardens on school line....

How strict are traffic wardens school about people parking on the yellow school zig zags when it is summer holidays and the school is locked up and not used for anything else? ( no holiday clubs or other users in the building)

A school is next to a community centre so parking is always tight. I've always avoided parking and our building has it's own car park but I overheard some centre users chatting saying that t''ll soon be the school holidays so there'll be a bit more parking space once the school breaks up. They asked me if they still came over but I've never noticed or even thought about it.
The sign says no parking Monday to Friday 08.30_09.30 and 15.00hrs to 16.00hrs but has school parking lines.

I've never thought about it before but thought it might be a waste of resource sending traffic wardens away from the busy town to a semi rural setting.

I thought people would have opinions about this seeing it was not only a parking one but school hazard parking!!🤣🤣

I would expect it to be policed year round. Staff will still be in the school. They shouldn't be parking on the zig zags or double yellows.

Often wondered the same. The zigzags are to keep it clear so children can be seen as far as I'm aware, as they small enough to be hidden by parked cars and not to be able to see the road is clear to cross at a busy time. You don't get that peak flow of both pedestrians and traffic in the holidays.
(Staff also likely to drive in - majority based on school I work in, due to carrying equipment backwards and forwards too.)

Doesn't seem any real reason for the road there to be treated any different to 20yards further down when there's no children around. But there's no signs near our local school so I assume rules apply at all times regardless

I just said that I wouldnt chance it as you never know! For the sake of a few metres parking it's not worth chance.
The head master of the school normally mentions to our manager when they are in over the holidays ( we both keep a look out for each others buildings for kids playing on roofs etc) so we know when they are off and there is no other buildings beyond the school.
