Can you have the flu without any symptoms at all? I feel so weird

It sounds silly but I quite literally had to shovel myself out of bed this morning. My bones and joints feel like they're exhausted

I don't mentally feel tired, it's just my body. It feels like it's telling me to sleep and rest.

For background, I get a very good amount of sleep every night. This really surprised me, feeling like this, because I'm very much a 'get up and get on' person. Yes, like everyone I'd have the odd 'I'm just too cosy to move', but this was completely different.

I'm home now and just collapsed into bed with DS Blush

Could it be flu without the symptoms? My body feels done!

I've not had a single flu symptom but I do currently have conjunctivitis, which is probably coming to the end now as I've had it a while.

Sounds like your immune system has been down for a while (with the conjunctivitis) and maybe your body just isn't coping at the moment and is telling you to rest?

Hope you feel better soon, I have chronic fatigue syndrome so feel exhausted pretty much all the time! It's a nightmare. Thanks

Emotional exhaustion can lead to this sort of thing. I know because I’ve been there...is your job/life stressful?

pizzaorpine · 27/06/2019 20:24

netflix So sorry you're living with that Thanks it's horrendous, I don't have chronic fatigue syndrome but I was once on a medication that literally made me like a walking zombie. It's so awful.

card It can be quite stressful in terms of my own thoughts and worries but not physically stressful really. Sorry you've experienced that, life can be shite

For me it was low iron from heavy periods.

No but there are lots of reasons you can experience fatigue. If it’s something that carries on for several weeks/a month or more, then get it checked out.

I had a vitamin d deficiency (well, have, still trying to bring my levels up). But I felt so exhausted that could barely get up and down the stairs and I couldn’t think straight or function at work. This has been going on for 6+ months though so not a sudden short lived thing. I felt so I’ll i was sure I must have cancer. I couldn’t imagine how it would be possible to feel like that and not be dying!

It could be an infection coming on. It could be something nutrional. It could be hormonal. There’s no chance you’re pregnant, right? That’s the only other time I’ve felt absolutely exhausted!
