Looks like it's fallen off one of the roofs, it happened last year and we had to be careful when leaving the house as the parents would swoop at us.

The parents have already chased off next doods cat, swooped at a neighbour as he walked to his car and nearly crashed into front door while chasing dd1. Have phoned a rescue as it is so young but if they can't help we're probably in for a few weeks of this until it learns to fly or a cat unfortunately gets it.

Last summer we had to carry an umberella to leave the house. They fell off next doors roof. The house was sold so no one living there to get the nests that year.
This year, us and all the neighbours watch where they were building and Dh and a couple of the other neighbours have removed about 7 nests as they moved from house to house looking for a place to lay eggs.
Lovely and quiet this year, but one road over is getting dive bombed every time they leave the houses.
Good luck for the summer, they seem to hang about for ages.

We have had this before and it is A PAIN. Seagulls are the devil. Your best bet is to try to encourage the chick to wander off and then shut your gate.

It's an open garden on an estate so no gate. The rescue is going to take a look, even if they take this one the parents appear to have two more on the roof
