Would you have a male cleaner?

A friend of mine is in between jobs at the moment (his company downsized). He is quite houseproud and really quite good at cleaning - his kitchen is a work of art. I was going to suggest that he become a cleaner - I think it would deffo suit him.

But then I wondered, how many would mind a man they don't know in their house? Would it bother anyone?

Yes of course. Never seen one advertising but yes if they were good.

yes i have one. He's great. He does spend alot of time on the cooker hood though and not so much on the bits of floor you can't see.

I have no problems having him in the house. (and I have teenage daughters - he is actually more interested in the cooker hood I think).

My mums cousin says out of work actors (male) make the best cleaners ?!?

I do have a male cleaner, he came today actually! He’s the best cleaner I’ve ever had.

I'd definitely have a male cleaner. Had one once through a cleaning agency, he was from Bulgaria. I've never seen anyone work so hard or so efficiently.

Why on earth wouldn't you have a male cleaner? Cleaning isn't some kind of special magical women's art that must be kept within the sisterhood or something.

I did , and he was great. Really really thorough , and used to have a do laundry as a sideline , so I used to give him all my work shirts because he was so much better at them than me , a total perfectionist in fact . He was so in demand , you only got him if one of his existing clients recommended you as good enough . I miss him , since we moved away.

Only if he was one of the naked ones.

Joking! I did have one a while back and he was pretty good, one of the better ones I have had. It was handy he was taller as I have high ceilings, and he understood the concept of ‘elbow grease’.

definitely would. It would show DH up!

I have had a male cleaner for years. He retired from his original job and started cleaning. His attention to detail is incredible. I was so impressed I have recruited a few other retired men and now have my own small cleaning business a side hustle 😀
