SRE lesson - wet dreams

So, my year 5 child had an SRE lesson this week and learnt about some aspects of puberty (incl existence of sanitary bins..)....and that boys "leak a bit of wee at night and it's called a wet dream". The (male) teacher actually referred to it as wee.
Should I speak to the teacher and suggest he get some proper training on the subject?

That’s awful. I would go in and ask to hear if he really did say that.

Yes I think definitely mention that! 5 is too young in my opinion for sex ed as they just won't understand but if he is going to teach it then it may as well be correct and appropriate

Its Year 5, not age 5

I chatted to another parent earlier and her child said the same thing to her. They way my daughter has understood it, girls get periods and boys wet themselves at night, as though they are analogous aspects of puberty. How confusing, especially for the boys, who now think they are going to be (if they are not already) leaking wee.

The teacher is obviously a bit coy. It would have been better had he said, "White liquid/fluid", rather than, 'wee'. However, in year 5, children need to know the correct terminology. Nothing wrong with the words 'semen' or 'spermatozoa'.
