Center Parcs

A group of 8 friends have booked a lodge at Center Parcs for a special occasion. A very close friend of the group has recently split with her husband (after emigrating abroad) and will be moving back home in the near future. She is desperate to come along but the maximum occupancy has already been reached.

Can anybody advise as to whether we would be able to bring the ninth person along- what checks are in place and whether use of facilities would be restricted?

You can't have 9 people on an 8 person lodge. They check cars when you drive in. We went recently with family, three cars, 8 people, they checked each car and the occupants against our booking. There are larger lodges though so you could potentially upgrade.

I know a few people who have hidden a child or two in the boot 😀

You could technically do it. When we went half of us drove and the others went by train then taxi which dropped us in a carpark before security and we just walked in. We did pay though. It's a bit wrong really but doable.

I don't think use of facilities would be an issue - they don't check anyone for using the pool etc

I know some people just walk in - theres a pub near the midlands one and often folk will often take a walk down. No problem if 4 leave and 5 come back ! Just dont make it too obvious and it will be fine.
Theres no other checks once youre inside . You can use all of the facilities -pool and recreation areas -and make a bed up in the lounge area for your friend.

Easy, the extra person waits at a local pub while the person they’re travelling with checks in. One of them then leaves and collect the ‘hidden extra’ and get waved on in there car as it has the sticker. If asked who she is, simply give the name of the other person who’s already checked in, they don’t check who comes and goes.

May be slightly ‘dishonest’ but the price of those holidays isn’t exactly honest!

My sister did this with a teenager last year as was £700 extra for 1 extra child!
