We are heading to Cornwall next week for our family holiday, DC are 6 and 4. Never been to the area before. Staying near Port Isaac. Any recommendations for must do's? Thanks!

The coastal path takes you between the beaches at Port Issac and Port Gaverne, a distance of about a mile. Spectacular views can be had along this section of the coastline, and out to Tintagel across the sea on a sunny day.
Squeeze through one of the narrowest thoroughfares in Britain, aptly named Squeezy Belly Alley!
Stop for a coffee or a pasty at one of the local cafes.
Both the Port Issac and Port Gaverne beaches provide the perfect setting for crabbing and rock pooling when the tide is out.
There are a number of fantastic beaches within an easy drive of Port Issac. Rock, with its long stretch of sand and dunes, for exploring. Polzeath, with its waves, perfect for body boarding or surfing. And Daymer Bay, perfect for families with its wide sandy beach and sheltered waters.
The popular Camel Trail is a 18 mile, largely traffic-free, cycle trail along a disused railway line. We frequently cycle the section between Wadebridge and Padstow. It’s 5.5 miles and an easy, flat ride for children. Cycle to Padstow and stop for fish and chips or ice cream, before returning to Wadebridge. Whilst at Padstow you could also visit the National Lobster Hatchery. It's very educational but also pleasing to just wander around if the kids are too young to be taking it all in: so good for all ages! At Wadebridge, Camel Creek Adventure Park is a great day out, even if it’s raining. Bikes, suitable for all (including tag-alongs), are easily hired at both Wadebridge and Padstow.
Get out on the water with a boat trip such as with Cornish Sea Tours dolphin spotting jaunts, or a fishing trip from the harbour during the summer season.
The Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway has good pub lunches, country walks and several other attractions along its route. while in similar style, Launceston Steam Railway takes you to the beautiful Kensey Valley.
The Eden Project is very family friendly with many themed events depending on the season.

We were there last week with our 4 & 6 year olds, their favourite day was at Flambards, it's cheaper to book in advance but check which day it's open, it was Wednesday when we went and was so quiet we got to stay on the rides as long as we wanted to.

If your national trust members then St Michaels mount is worth a visit, the kids loved the boat ride back.
