Casefile true crime podcast. Any other fans?

A little while ago a friend recommended a casefile podcast to me about the somerton man (we were talking about mysteries and that's my favourite).
Anyway, I really enjoyed it. The narrator is such a good story teller with such a relaxing almost hypnotic voice.
I have now fallen down a complete rabbit hole of true crime.
Apparently it has quite a following, so thought I would see if there are any fans here?

Yes, me!
It was recommended on here so I tried it. I like true crime podcasts and I like the way this one is done.
Have you tried "They Walk Among Us"? It's a UK true crime podcast presented in a similar way. It's very good.
I also recommend Atlanta Monster. It deals with one case over a series and it's excellent.

I love it too but my absolute favourite is True Crime Garage. Also started a new podcast "The Man at the Window" which I have found a bit creepy for my normal bedtime listening!

Love it - try crime junkie

Also my favourite murder (lots of swearing though)

Great Podcasts are like great books, sad that the first time you listen, you haven’t ‘appreciated’ it’s the first time and that feeling when you finish

I’m working through True Crime Junkie and UK True Crime. I’ll add your suggestions to my library.

Have you all listened to The Teachers Pet? I loved that!

Another regular listener here!

I very much prefer podcasts in the style of Casefile; dry with a single narrator. Others I like are Uresolved, The Trail Went Cold and Already Gone. The host of the latter is also currently doing an excellent series about the Oakland County child killings called Don't Talk To Strangers which is very good, if quite heavy going.

I also love Unexplained, which is predominantly non-crime stuff. It's absolutely excellent and I could listen to the guy who does it all day.

Yeah, it's a good one.

My favourite is The last podcast on the left, but I know that wouldn't be everyones cup of tea

BernardoTeashop · 23/06/2019 21:22

Try Real Crime Profile. They discuss high profile crimes - last few episodes have been about the Madeline McCann case.

NeverSayFreelance · 24/06/2019 23:07

I love Casefile! Also a big fan of The Vanished since unsolved disappearances are my favourite.

God that sounds awful written out but you know what I mean!

I've only just decided that it was time I tried out podcasts (will be good for walking the dog) so I'll certainly check it out OP, and others mentioned on here.
Sounds right up my street.

These sound good, will download some for upcoming holiday.

Casefile is great. Also like They Walk Among Us, Generation Why and Criminal!

speadyourwingsandflyaway · 25/06/2019 13:35

I love Casefile. Also like Crime Junkie and Man in the Window, as others have mentioned. Canadian True Crime is also quite good, but not as slick as Casefile.

Yes to Real Crime Profile.

It’s co-presented by the amazing Laura Richards who has spearheaded the anti-stalking legislation in the UK and she also helped to make coercive control a crime here. She’s campaigning for a stalkers and domestic abusers register to work in a similar way to Sarah’s Law so that women and police and other agencies can find out if a man has committed previous violent offences against women.

I’ve learnt so much from her about women’s protection, coercive control, and emotional abuse, just listening to that podcast. And they get into really interesting detail about the cases they discuss - almost all of which are about violence against women and children. It’s a very victim-centred approach. There’s nothing salacious or prurient about their coverage of these cases at all.

Big fan! (Of Laura, especially!)
