Selling a dress online

I'm selling a prom dress on a local website. But what do you do If people want to try it on?
It's new & has never been worn. I don't want it to get marked.
I've never sold clothes online before.

Could you take it to a dress agency? I took an unworn wedding dress to one locally. It had only been tried on, had labels etc. She had it in her shop for a few weeks and it sold. Obviously you split the price, but it’s better than nothing.

It's a really popular site & I live rurally -no such thing as a dress agency!
I know it will sell but I just don't know what to say if someone asks to try it on.

I wouldn’t honestly allow try-ons. That’s why the dress is presumably much cheaper than buying new - you don’t get the same service.

I was selling a load of furniture a while back and I just didn’t reply to the ones that wanted to view first. I didn’t like the idea of giving people my address if they weren’t guaranteed to buy and I had no interest in someone haggling in person as it would just be awkward and potentially intimidating. I set fair prices to start with and sold easily to people who just agreed to buy in advance.

You can't expect anyone to buy it without knowing if it fits. People go to shops and try dresses on; what makes yours any different?

There is no way I would buy a prom dress that might fit.
