Will Pets at Home Vets See Non-Patients?

Just wondering as my rabbit is unwell and I whilst I think he would be all right till Monday I would rather take him tomorrow to be on the safe side. The out of hour’s vets my usual practice uses will charge me about £150 before any treatment 😢

I'm not a vet but have had bunnies for 19 years so if I can help I will. My best advice is to ring PaH as soon as they open (usually 11am on a Sunday) and ask if they'll see your rabbit. If not, you may have to go down the out of hours vet route. What exactly is wrong with bunny? Absolutely NOT criticising - just asking - why do you think bunny will be ok until Monday if you think they are unwell now? Rabbits are prey animals so often by the time they show signs of illness they can be very unwell.

I am aware of the prey animal thing, I have Guinea pigs too. He seems rather lethargic and I noticed he had some wee underneath him in the run. He was bright and ate his breakfast this morning, I will obviously review in the morning but he doesn’t seem in pain or distressed, breathing normally etc. Thank you.

He is litter trained and wouldn’t normally wee anywhere else

We took our dog a few weeks ago as couldn't get an appointment at our usual vets and they saw us :-) we just had to give details to register him and then they had an appt an hour later :-)

Thank you. He is looking brighter this morning and hopping around, I wonder if the sudden heat had made him feel poorly. I will keep an eye on things and get him to my own vet tomorrow if I am in any doubt.
