What do you 'play' with your 2 year old?

Just that, what do you play? DD is just 2 and although we read books and potter around in mindful I don't get on the floor and play as much as I should.

It doesn't come naturally to me so ideas of what you play with your toddlers greatly appreciated!

I did a lot of making sand castles in our sandpit. Which the children would then take great delight in either decorating or destroying (usually the latter).

I’ve lost count of all the roles I’ve taken on in their role play. I’ve been a patient at their doctors surgery, a pupil in their imaginary classroom, a customer at their shop, a shop keeper..... I also had a lot of imaginary cups of tea and picnics!
I’ve done a lot of hiding.... and seeking! And pretending not to see them hiding even when their toes are sticking out!

When they were 2, they enjoyed pushing trains around the railway track but couldn’t assembly the track so I did that for them. And if marble-run-building was an Olympic sport, I’d get gold. At that age, they just loved dropping the balls down it.

I did a lot of rolling a ball back and forwards between us and lots of standing up skittles when they knocked them over.
