Taking HRT gel through security at the airport. its over 100ml. any ideas?

Im going to have to pay £40 each way if not to get a hold bag to put my medication in.
The gel comes in metered pumps that I apply every day so I must take it with me.
Has anyone managed to take it in their hand luggage?

do not take medication out of the original container.

op do you still have the box with the dispensing sticker?

Why does OP need to bring it back? Surely there will be some at home?

I need to bring it back. I only get 1 tube every 3 months.

I’ve taken an oestrogel bottle through many times and will be doing so again in a couple of weeks myself. Generally, they ask me if it’s prescription and just waive it through - I thought it was under 100mls though, I use 2 pumps a day and a bottle lasts me about 7 or 8 weeks.

I put it in the hold because I was worried about it being confiscated.
I don’t know how much it holds because the container says the weight rather than the volume.
Anyway it appeared at the other end in my case
